We love WordPress! It’s easy to maintain, relatively simple to build and very flexible. It is also popular, which in internet terms can make it vulnerable. We have suffered with a couple of nasty attacks in the last few months on our development and client side sites. This has somewhat encouraged us to beef up security and add extra levels of protection. Since then, touch wood, things have been nice and secure.

Unfortunately you are never 100% safe on-line. The best you can do is keep your software up to date and regularly backed up. We were prudent enough to keep regular back ups and were able to restore the sites with minimal downtime.
